REVIEW: Lorac Pro and Lorac Mega Pro Palettes
I'm so excited to have some new makeup palettes to play with. Over the past few weeks I have been using the Lorac Pro and Lorac Mega Pro palettes, and I have a few ideas for some new videos. Since it will be a few weeks before I can have the videos uploaded I thought I would share a written review of both palettes.
Lorac Pro
This is a palette I would recommend to everyone looking for a high quality neutral makeup palette, especially a compact one for traveling. There are 8 matte and 8 shimmer shades. I did notice that not all the shimmer shades are what I would consider shimmer, but some have a more satin finish (which I prefer over a true shimmer shadow most days). The colors are mainly in the neutrals family, and they give you 2 colors that work great as a matte transition shade. However there are still a few fun colors in this palette. I love the range of shades you get in this palette, and it's easy to do both day and night looks with only colors from this.
The formulation for these shadows is amazing, too. They are very smooth and not powdery, which makes them a dream to blend together. These colors are also super pigmented, and are very true to the color in the pan.
Lorac Mega Pro
This bad boy is as majestic as a baby unicorn (and almost as rare). The quality is just as amazing as the Lorac Pro palette and there's so many types of colors - warm-toned, cool-toned, neutral, bright, matte and shimmer. This thing has them all! In all there are 16 matte shades, and 16 shimmer (like the Lorac Pro palette, some of the "shimmer" shades have more of a satin finish). The pigmentation is ridiculously awesome, and they blend very easily. Don't tell my husband, but now that I have this I don't think I need any more eyeshadow. I still want all the eyeshadows ever, but the variety and quality of these are so great that I really don't need more.
Sadly this palette was an ultra-limited edition, online only palette for the holidays (I said ultra-limited because it sold out in a matter of days). However, when I post a video using colors from this palette I will be sure to include at least one dupe for them.
Do you have a Lorac palette? Do you like or dislike about them?
